The Old T BnB is a comfortable, warm, and cosy flat for 6 people. It owes its name to its superb location, right in the middle of Limassol Old Town - with its unique Cypriot character, narrow streets, small cafes, shops, stylish bars and restaurants.
The flat was recently renovated in a style that is colourful and inviting. The eclectic mix of traditional Cypriot details is combined with a modern touch, to provide a self-contained space for larger families or groups. A home away from home, for those wanting to explore the real Limassol that the locals know and love.
The flat has a very spacious living/dining room. A large corner sofa separates the TV area from the dining area. A small lending library of paperbacks in English can be found on one of the living room shelves. The dining table can comfortably accommodate a party of 6. The room is very bright and airy, with two large French doors that lead onto the larger balcony, where you can sit and take in the atmosphere of the Old Town.
The kitchen is fully equipped for all your everyday cooking needs. A washing machine, clothes rack, ironing board and iron are also provided.
There are 3 separate bedrooms. Two of them have twin beds and French doors leading onto a small and a medium-sized balcony respectively. The third bedroom has a double bed, a large window, and a single door that leads onto the living-room balcony.
The flat also has a family bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet, and a second toilet and sink in the WC. The cloakroom area leading to the family bathroom is equipped with a full-length mirror, a hairdryer, and hair straightener.
*A baby cot can also be provided upon request, at no extra charge.
The greatest advantage of The Old T Bnb is its stellar location at the heart of the Old Town. One side of the flat looks onto Ayiou Andreou St, which was the old shopping street of the city, and now has a variety of small local shops, including a local bakery. The city's new shopping street (Anexartisias St) is also a 5-minute walk away. The entrance to the flat is on Ellados St, with a grocery shop just a few seconds walk from the flat, a 24-hour kiosk, a health food shop just up the street, an opticians, and many other amenities. Banks and pharmacies are also very close by. Cafes, restaurants and bars, are not found on these two streets quieter streets where the flat is located, but are only a very short walk away. Either to the North, and to the stylish Saripolou bar area and the Heros Square, or to the South, towards the Medieval Castle Square and the new Limassol Marina.
The whole area has a unique architectural character and lively atmosphere. Neo-classical buildings housing government services, mix with small old restored houses of traditional built. Artists, musicians, students and local families, enjoy hanging out at the cosier and quirkier little bars, cafes, and eclectic restaurants of the Old Town. Or catching an event at Rialto Theatre, a more alternative artistic performance at Theatro 1, or a live music event in one of the Old Town bars.
Moreover, the flat is only a 5-minute walk from the impressive new Limassol Marina with the larger chain restaurants and cafes, as well as the Limassol Promenade (the 'Molos' as the locals call it). The promenade extends from the Old Pier, right along the coast of LImassol, and is over 14km long. Take a stroll and have a look at the largest open-air art gallery in Europe, found right next to the sea.
Finally, the local sandy beach (a blue flag beach!) is within a 10-minute walking distance. And the very regular bus that travels up and down the Beach Road will take you straight to any Limassol beach, the tourist area, the Mall, the Archaeological museum, the Limassol Zoo, the Municipal Art Gallery, and other sites.
If you need public transport for travelling in town or visiting other towns and villages, the bus stops are walking distance to the apartment. A rent-a bike-station is also a 10-minute walk, and there is a bike shop also offering rentals just around the corner from the flat. In case you have a car there is free on-street parking, as well as 4 parking lots within a 2-minute walking distance.
I make sure to leave more detailed information on local amenities, as well as leaflets for places of interest, bus and coach schedules etc, at the flat to help you organise your stay.
